Established in 1997, Sawford Marine helped to pioneer inclusive sailing in the UK. The first and only manufacturer of Hansa sailing boats in Europe, keen sailors Steve and Ron Sawford set up the business on the principle that literally anyone should be at liberty to enjoy sailing, regardless of age, ability, gender, or experience.
Fully qualified in advanced carpentry and joinery, company director Steve Sawford was trained by market leader of hand-built luxury motor vessels Fairline Yachts in fibreglass boat manufacture and development. Now, having built over 600 boats in the UK, along with wheelchair transfer systems, bespoke seating solutions and specialist equipment, Sawford Marine is renowned in the field for quality craftsmanship and personalised service.
