The Hansa 2.3 wide is as the Hansa 2.3 single but with seating for two people combined weight under 100kg + 20kg luggage.
It is an ideal choice for sailability groups that plan to have children teaching or taking other children just for the ride. The wide seat gives seating for two small people. The simplicity of having just one sail makes it very safe, allowing the sailor to be trained in each element of control and in the basics of racing strategies and tactics.
In an ideal club arrangement the sailor would then move into the 2.3 single for their first solo sailing and racing, which is a massive confidence builder.
The use of the more experienced child sailors as trainers to other children is a great way of building character and esteem.
If adults are to be the trainers (combined weight over 100kg + 20kg luggage) then the 303 wide would be a better choice.
A choice of 10 deck colours. red, orange, yellow, lime, light blue, dark blue, lilac, pink, jade and light grey.
and 10 sail colours
The 2.3 sails are white with a coloured flash usually to match the deck colours
red, orange, yellow, lime, light blue, dark blue, lilac, pink, jade, white.
This makes for easily distinguishable fleet sailing, which is very useful for safety monitoring and video/photo feedback. Or for your club or sponsors colours to be chosen
Your own special deck colours can also be provided, Just let us know the details and we can usually provide
and all at no extra cost !
The hard seat is an optional extra and comes in two sizes. It is designed to give more side support and to help prevent the sailor slipping down into the consol area. The seat is instantly removable by drawing 1 pin and untying two lashing cords.
There is a small hard "side seat" that can be fitted with the hammock seat still fitted which allows a child or small person to be in the hard seat and an adult or another child to accompany them
Important
Note: Fitting a large or small hard seat will make the 2.3 wide a single seater.

With this system the wheelchair is safely contained so as to prevent the danger of running off the pontoon.
