Sailing for Older PeopleAs there is no need to move position while sailing the Access dinghy and all manoeuvring is carried out from the comfort of a hammock seat, it is particularly suited to those older people who have limited mobility. It is probably the most comfortable dinghy available. Very light loads on both the tiller and mainsheet making sailing the boat easy on the limbs.The sail is reefable down to less than 1sq mtr for sailing and being unbattened can be fully reefed for beaching or towing. Reefing is achieved by the simple operation of pulling on a continuous line that operates a reefing drum in the foot of the mast. The 15kg weighted keel makes the boat uncapsizable.  The boom is high keeping it well away from the head.
All ages can easily sail this boat from children to elderly grandparents making it an ideal family boat. The boat, mast and launching trolley can be easily transported on standard car roof bars.
