The Access dinghies
A sailing revolution for people of all abilities.
Introducing the revolutionary Access Dinghies, which are the ideal introductory craft for everyone, irrespective of ability or disability.
- The helmsman sits midway between the gunwale, reclining in a nylon webbing "lazy chair" with legs each side of the centreboard.
- The boat is steered with a vertical "joystick" situated between the sailor's legs.

- The unstayed 4mtr mast has a reefing drum incorporated in the foot, allowing the sail to be reefed whilst underway.
- The low seating position combined with a weighted centreboard makes the whole Access range of boats virtually uncapsizable.
- The Access 2.3 and 303 are easily transported on a standard set of car roof bars, making them ideal family weekend or holiday boats.
- There are single seat and two seater versions of the unirigged Access 2.3 and a two sail one or two-person boat called the Access303.
- The single seat 2.3 and the 303 can be fitted with electric servo-assist controls for people with limited mobility or reduced muscle strength.
Access dinghies are making sailing available to some people who have, up to now, been excluded by cost, disability and many other reasons, and those who have for so long looked on sailing as a sport only for the elite.
Access boats provide a range that are fun for all the family, for children, parents, grandparents, where people with disabilities can participate without handicap.
